Sadashiva Charitamrit – 3 days!
Jan 24 @ 09:29 – 10:29

From Saturday 2 March to Monday 4 March, Urvashi Puri from India will read from the Sadashiva Charitamrit, a book inspired writing by Vishnu Datt Shatriji. It is about Mahavatar Haidakhan Babaji and his last appearance here on earth, with the aim of helping humanity. In the video, you can see and hear the reading of this book here at the ashram in February 2020. Ushi reads the original text (ancient Sanskrit and Hindi) plus gives the translation!
We are also looking for sponsors and donors to help defray the cost of this reading. Costs include half a plane ticket from New Delhi to Amsterdam (other part is paid by the ashram in Germany) and also an extra financial contribution as she is missing other income during that time. Get in touch. Sign up to attend the reading! The reading will take place at the temple of Sada Shiva Dham.
Contribution: costs for accommodation inclusive of meals plus a donation for the reading.

International Guru Purnima celebrations
Jul 17 @ 18:00 – Jul 21 @ 15:00

International Haidakhandi Guru Purnima at Center of Unity, Schweibenalp, Switzerland.

17-21 July 2024

Welcome to the big International Haidakhandi Guru Purnima Celebration 2024:

  • 20 years of European Guru Purnima &
  • 40 years of Babaji’s Maha-Samadhi.

We are looking forward to celebrate this special Guru Purnima together again with you at Schweibenalp, the Siddhashram and Center of Unity. Guru Purnima is celebrated in India with the full moon in July, which is dedicated to inner guidance and manifests as an outer teacher, to show us the way from darkness into light.

With the blessings of Sri Babaji, Sri Muniraji and the Divine Mother, we will celebrate with old and new devotees from all over the world for five days, with Aartis and Pujas (rituals), Yagnyas (fire ceremonies) and Bhajans (singing of devotional songs).

By coming together and sharing our memories, experiences and stories (Satsang), the Haidakhan family will be realigned and strengthened. At the same time, it is a time of purification and we strengthen our inner guidance of the Guru in our hearts.
Babaji’s love and direct guidance are so palpable!

The powerful surroundings of Schweibenalp support our spiritual practice: immerse yourself in the Giessbach, which has its source in the mountains and plunges into Lake Brienz in the waterfall directly behind the house, the pure air of the mountains and the silence of nature. There is time for that, too!

In addition to Mantra Japa (repeating the mantra like Om Namah Shivay), we also invite you to Karma Yoga (selfless action). With the help of a minimum of one hour of Karma Yoga per person per day, we can ensure the comfort of all visitors and the entire Haidakhan family!

Let us come together in Simplicity, Truth and Love!

Start: July 17, 2024 with dinner at 18 h,

End: July 21, 2024, after lunch.

Extra program: Meeting of representatives of all European and
International Babaji ashrams, centres, temples and groups.

From July 16-17 all representatives from all Babaji ashrams, centres, temples and groups meet, to exchange insights and best practices on how to strengthen the field of Babaji worldwide. (Start with dinner and Aarti on the 16th and program from 10 to 17 h on the 17th).

Navaratri celebrations – 9 days
Sep 3 @ 06:15 – Sep 11 @ 14:15

Sada Shiva Dham celebrates the Navaratri festival for the Universal Mother two times a year, every time for 9 days. The universal Mother is the dynamic aspect of creation, which creates everything and and puts everything in motion. She has many names and has in different cultures different names. However, it is always the same universal harmonious force that works in every aspect of creation.

In the picture here, she is displayed as Haidakhandeswari, the universal Mother of Haidakhan. She is also called Durga, Kali, Parvati, Shakti, etc. At Sada Shiva Dham in Loenen near Apeldoorn this celebration is twice a year, in spring and autumn. The exact dates can be found in the calendar.

The daily program for the 9 days is as follows:

6.30 : Paduka Puja, a small ceremony to invite Mahavatar Babaji to be present (in everyone’s heart).
7.30: Aarti: Offering of Light with mantra singing.
8.30: Devi Puja, special ceremony to welcome the Divine Mother. Every day, this ceremony is devoted to a special aspect of the Divine Mother.
9.15: Reading together the Sapta Sati, the 700 verses for the Mother.
10.30: Havan, Vedic Fire Ceremony: for harmony and peace.
12.00: Karma Yoga in the ashram with activities like cleaning, cooking, gardening etc..
13.15: Bhandara, festive warm vegetarian lunch.
16.00: Karma Yoga

17.30: Possible satsang in the temple (sitting together and speaking together in truth)
19.00: Aarti
22:00: Rest

The above program is subject to adjustments per Navaratri.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Havan – Vedic fire ceremony

During these 9 days, experience shows that the energy is extraordinary, gentle and peaceful. Being present and participating is a kind of meditation. The effect is healing to ourselves, refreshing, and we gain energy.

Visitors can come all nine days (there is a possibility to stay overnight), but can also chose to be present for a few days or for instance for one morning.

This Navaratri time is a good time to eat only once a day. Hence, at Sada Shiva Dham, a festive lunch is served aroun 13.30. If, in this way, you have to be too long sober in the morning, one can take some fruit or nuts. Visitors who need to have some food in the evening, for whatever reason, they can have some food in the evening.
