Shri Shri 1008 Shri Hairakhanwale Babaji, Hairakhan Babaji, simply called Babaji, is considered the Divine Presence in human form. The love, truth and joy that he radiated and shared around his peerless Being are too much to contain, too much not to share.
It is in the spirit of sharing that we invite you to get acquainted with Babaji’s teachings, to meditate with, to believe or disbelieve, laugh or cry, clutch it to your heart or put it aside.
Names and form are a part of Him but do not define Him. Hairakhan Babaji has revealed Himself as Lord Sada Shiva, the most ancient manifestation of God on earth. He is as old as the world and teaches the Eternal Religion of humanity, Sanatan Dharma, as well as methods of yoga and meditation – scientific techniques of God realisation.
When asked how He can be reached, Babaji responded: “By chanting and repeating My Names. Work hard. If everyone works diligently and with love, there will be peace within, there will be peace throughout the world.”
Who is Babaji? Difficult to say. Babaji Himself hints: “I am Bhole Baba, the Simple Father. I am Nobody and Nothing. I am only like a mirror in which you can see yourself. I am like fire. Don’t keep too far away or you will not get the warmth, but don’t come to near, or you will burn yourself. Learn the right distance. My name is Maha Prabuji, the Great Lord. I have come to give, only to give.”
There are several manifestations of Babaji known. In 1970, He appeared in Hairakhan village at the foothills of the Himalayas to share his message of Truth, Simplicity and Love. Between 1970 and 1984, Babaji built, together with his followers, in Hairakhan an ashram and nine temples. He taught them to experience work as prayer and meditation (karma yoga). After his departure in 1984 his work continued and many have experienced his help in various ways.
In this website we want to share with you what Babaji has left behind. We want to introduce you to his teachings and let you taste something of his Presence.
For the present time His main teaching is the teaching of Karma Yoga, the path of selfless action, service to humanity.
