You are welcome to participate in the daily program. You can participate and visit for a day, a weekend or stay and participate some days in a row.
Good to know:
- For staying overnight the ashram possesses double and multi-bed rooms, also 2 dormitories, one for men, one for ladies. *]
- You can rent bed linen (7.50 Euro per set) or bring your own bed linen or a sleeping bag. Blankets are available.
- Men and women have separate shower area’s, apart from the rooms.
- On departure you ensure that the room is left clean.
- Please bring suitable clothing for in the temple and at the fire ceremony. For ladies this is a long skirt, punjabi, or possibly sari. For men this is a lungi (wrap cloth). [A lungi can also be worn by ladies.] Some lungis are for use available at the ashram.
- For the karma yoga work it is good to bring comfortable clothing and possibly appropriate footwear.
- Concerning karma yoga we think of simple activities such as gardening, washing windows, keeping the building clean, mowing grass, collecting wood and making it small, possibly administration, kitchen work, etc.
- Ensure that tools are returned to their proper place after use.
- For women it is important to know that during the first 4 days of their monthly period they can take some rest and they do not participate in temple activities and fire ceremonies, and are free from work in the kitchen. **]
