SUMMARY:Christmas
DESCRIPTION:The spiritual festival of Christmas\, the celebration of the birth of Christ\, is also celebrated every year at Sadashiva Dham. The celebration on Christmas Eve December 24 starts at 6 PM with singing Christmas carols by the Christmas tree in the temple. Then\, at 7 PM\, we sing the usual Aarti. Visitors are invited to bring a small gift (around 7 euros) to place under the Christmas tree. These gifts are shared with the help of angel cards after the Aarti. Afterwards\, we enjoy a meal together.      \nOn Christmas morning December 25\, the program is the same as that of a Babaji weekend: \n7:00 AM: Paduka Puja in the Babaji Kutir (chalet); a ceremony to invite Mahavatar Babaji into everyone’s heart \n8:00 AM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras) \n10:00 AM: Festive havan (fire ceremony) at the open fire site \n11:30 AM: Karma Yoga \n1:30 PM: Prasad (warm lunch) \nAfter lunch: Break and rest \n4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Karma Yoga \nIn the afternoon: Satsang with a Christmas thought as the theme. Satsang means ‘sitting together in truth’. Satsang is about sharing experiences and learning from each other.   \n7:00 PM: Aarti \n8:00 PM: Simple evening meal \n10:00 PM: Silence\, rest

DESCRIPTION:New Year’s Eve is celebrated with kirtan singing in the dhuni and at midnight a small Aarti to welcome the new year. Afterwards there is a festive gathering in the ashram.
