SUMMARY:Diwali
DESCRIPTION:The festival of Diwali is celebrated every year\, between mid-October and mid-November\, on the day of the new moon. The festival is the celebration of Lakshmi\, the feminine divine force in creation who provides prosperity and abundance at all levels of life. It is also called the festival of lights because in the evening lights are lit everywhere\, so that Lakshmi can easily find her way and give her blessings. \nThe day is spent cleaning the different spaces and putting up decorations. \nAt 4:30 PM we celebrate a small Kali puja. Kali is an aspect of the divine Mother to destroy negativity\, dispel darkness and promote spirituality. \nAarti starts at 7:00 PM. \nIn the evening\, tea lights and candles are lit as a welcome for Lakshmi. At 9 PM we celebrate the Lakshmi puja in the temple on the occasion of Diwali.

There is a program with ceremonies\, singing together\, and Karma Yoga.  \nFriday (evening) \n7:00 PM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras) \nSaturday \n6:00 AM: Silent meditation fire or silent havan (Vedic fire ceremony) \n7:00 AM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras) \n8:00 AM: Breakfast followed by Karma Yoga \n9:30 AM: Tour and introduction for new visitors \n1:15 PM: Prasad (warm lunch) \nAfter lunch: Break and rest until 4:00 PM \n4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Karma Yoga \n7:00 PM: Aarti \n8:00 PM: Simple evening meal \n10:00 PM: Silence\, rest \nSunday \n6:00 AM: Silent meditation fire in the dhuni \n7:00 AM: Paduka Puja in the Babaji Kutir (chalet); a ceremony to invite Mahavatar Babaji into everyone’s heart \n8:00 AM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras) \n10:00 AM: Festive havan (fire ceremony) at the open fire site \nAround 11:30 AM: Karma Yoga \nAround 1:30 PM: Prasad (warm lunch) \nAfter lunch: Break and rest until 4:00 PM \n4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Karma Yoga \n7:00 PM: Aarti \n8:00 PM: Simple evening meal \n10:00 PM: Silence\, rest \n  \nArrival is possible on Friday afternoon or on Saturday\, preferably not between 2:00-4:00 PM due to the rest period. \nYou can register via the contact form or send an email to sadashivadham@gmail.com indicating when and what time you want to come and how many nights you wish to stay. \n
