Navaratri

Twice a year, in spring and autumn, the festival for the universal Mother is celebrated at Sadashiva Dham. The universal Mother is the dynamic aspect of creation, that which gives form and sets everything in motion. The celebration lasts a total of 9 days. During these 9 days, the energy is experienced as particularly gentle and peaceful. Participating acts as a form of meditation. The effect is healing for ourselves and our surroundings.
It is possible to attend all 9 days, a few days, or just a morning. The daily program:
6:30 AM: Paduka Puja in the Babaji Kutir (chalet), a ceremony to invite Mahavatar Babaji into everyone’s heart
7:30 AM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras)
8:30 AM: Devi Puja, special ceremony to welcome the Divine Mother
9:15 AM: Reading together from the Saptashati, the 700 verses for the Mother
10:30 AM: Havan, Vedic fire ceremony for the Divine Mother for harmony and peace
12:00 PM: Karma Yoga
1:15 PM: Prasad (warm lunch)
After lunch: Break and rest
4:00 PM: Karma Yoga
4:30 PM: Satsang in the temple: sitting together and speaking in truth or reading in the Devi Bhagavatam, an ancient Vedic text about the Divine Mother (subject to change)
7:00 PM: Aarti
10:00 PM: Silence, rest
