New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day

New Year’s Eve is celebrated with kirtan singing in the dhuni and at midnight a small Aarti to welcome the new year. Afterwards there is a festive gathering in the ashram. The following morning there is a program like on Sunday morning of a Babaji Weekend.
On New Year’s Day the morning is celebrated like in a Babaji Weekend:
7:00 AM: Paduka Puja in the Babaji Kutir (chalet); a ceremony to invite Mahavatar Babaji into everyone’s heart
8:00 AM: Aarti (light ceremony and chanting of mantras)
10:00 AM: Festive havan (fire ceremony) at the open fire place
11:30 AM: Karma Yoga
1:30 PM: Prasad (warm lunch)
After lunch: Break and rest
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Karma Yoga
7:00 PM: Aarti
8:00 PM: Simple evening meal
10:00 PM: Silence, rest
In the morning there is no breakfast due to the ceremonies; however, tea and coffee are available.
