Haidakhandeshwari Mataji

Lord Shiva (Babaji) is pure formless consciousness and always present everywhere. Shakti, the Divine Mother, is everything that has form, whether physical, material, or mental (in concepts and ideas). The entire creation is an endless play of the intertwining of these two energies.

The Divine Mother has many manifestations. She is one and has many faces. Herakhandeshwari Ma is one of them. She is the feminine aspect, the Shakti of Babaji that always shines in Him. She is endlessly pure love and compassion.

The Divine Mother takes on countless manifestations to bring abundance (Bhukti) and liberation (Mukti). Other manifestations of the Divine Mother include Durga (all Goddesses in one form) and Jagadambe (Mother of the world).

Having an image or statue of a Devi, repeating her mantras, or performing a puja in Her honor can deeply strengthen our connection with the Divine Mother.

During Navaratri, the Divine Mother is honored and celebrated in different aspects for 9 days. Check the Calendar to see when this is celebrated at the ashram.
