“When you make music, it must touch your heart so that it leaves a lasting impression. Whatever you do, there must be power in it.” – Babaji

Kirtan is the singing of mantras and bhajans, often accompanied by a harmonium and dholak. In recent years, singing kirtan has been at the heart of the successful Bhakti festivals at Sadashiva Dham. Kirtan is becoming increasingly popular, appealing to more and more people. Compared to the Bhakti festival, the Guru Purnima program has a different setup. There are more ceremonies and also Satsang, but kirtan is also given space. This year we are celebrating a 5-day international Guru Purnima festival from July 25-29. In the mornings, we sing kirtan around the fire at Babaji’s kutir. There is kirtan in the afternoon programs on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday, and also on Tuesday evening: All-Night kirtan.

Kirtan lovers will certainly get their fill. It is a beautiful way to strengthen the connection with the subtle divine level within yourself. For a full overview of the program and how to register: click here.
